How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Variable Speed Drives (VSDs/VFDs) for pumps, blowers and other process equipment

    * Pumping systems, including submersible, sewage, sludge and transfer pumps

    * Control panels and local control stations

    * PLC control systems and associated I/O wiring

    * Instrumentation and control (I&C) systems

    * Field instrumentation such as level, flow, pressure and temperature sensors

    * Ultrasonic/radar level instrumentation

    * Flow meters and associated cabling

    * Actuated valves, motorised valves and associated control wiring

    * Telemetry/SCADA systems and remote monitoring equipment

    * Process control and automation systems

    * Dosing equipment and chemical dosing systems

    * Blowers, compressors and aeration equipment

    * Electrical supplies to screening, grit removal and sludge treatment equipment

    * Emergency lighting, general lighting and small power

    * Cable containment, tray, ladder, conduit and trunking

    * Installation and termination of LV power and control cabling

    * Earthing and bonding systems

    * UPS systems, batteries and standby/emergency power

    * Generators and changeover/ATS systems

    * Electrical equipment within pumping stations and wet wells

    * Experience with hazardous/ATEX areas would be highly advantageous

    The Role

    You’ll be responsible for helping deliver the electrical installation across wastewater projects, working closely with the Project Manager, engineers and wider site team.

    Typical responsibilities will include:

    Supervising electrical installation teams and subcontractors

    Carrying out and overseeing electrical installation works

    Installing and terminating power, control and instrumentation cabling

    Installation of MCCs, control panels, equipment and field devices

    Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, cable schedules, GA drawings and wiring diagrams

    Coordinating electrical works with mechanical/process installation

    Checking installations against drawings and specifications

    Managing daily electrical activities and ensuring works remain on programme

    Supporting testing, inspection and commissioning

    Fault finding and resolving installation issues

    Producing/maintaining relevant site records and documentation

    Ensuring RAMS, permits and electrical safety procedures are followed

    Working alongside commissioning engineers during system start-up and handover

    Experience Required

    We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in a live industrial/water environment and can operate as both a hands-on electrical installer and a supervisor when required.

    Ideally, you’ll have experience with:

    Water/wastewater treatment works

    Pumping stations

    Water utility infrastructure

    Industrial/process environments

    Electrical installation and supervision
