How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Accounts Support Administrator
    Location: Bury St Edmunds
    Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
    Salary: £27,000 p.a.
Are you organised, detail-focused and looking to build your career within Accounts and Finance?
We’re looking for an Accounts Support Administrator to join a busy accounts team, providing essential administrative and data support across the department.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous office or administration experience who is keen to develop their knowledge of accounts. Full training will be provided, with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across areas such as purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, invoice processing and reconciliations.
    The Role
    Your responsibilities will include:
    * Accurately inputting and updating information across internal systems, databases and spreadsheets.
    * Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic records. Checking data and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
    * Producing routine reports and information for the Accounts team. Updating spreadsheets, trackers and departmental records.
    * Processing and uploading electronic documentation.
    * Identifying missing information and following up where necessary.
    * Providing day-to-day administrative support to the wider Accounts team.
    * Assisting with routine accounts processing and administration.
    * Obtaining information and documentation from other departments when required.
    * Supporting customer and supplier documentation and routine enquiries.
    * Answering incoming telephone calls in a professional and helpful manner.
    * Monitoring shared email inboxes and ensuring enquiries are dealt with or passed to the appropriate team member.
    * Providing administrative support during busy periods and holiday/absence cover. Maintaining confidentiality when handling financial and business information.
    * Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Accounts team. Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the department.
    * Undertaking training and development to build your knowledge of Accounts and Finance.
    About You
This role would suit someone who is organised, reliable and keen to learn, with a genuine interest in developing a career within accounts.
    You’ll ideally have:
    * Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role.
    * Experience of accurate data entry and maintaining electronic records.
    * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
    * Confidence using computer systems and spreadsheets.
    * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    * Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload.
    * Good written and verbal communication skills.
    * A confident and professional telephone manner.
    * The ability to follow established processes and instructions.
    * The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    * A positive, helpful and proactive attitude.
    * A willingness to ask questions, learn and develop new skills.
Previous experience within an Accounts or Finance environment would be beneficial, as would experience using financial systems or Excel for reporting, but this is not essential.
    Training & Progression
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop within an established Accounts team.
Full training will be provided on the relevant systems and processes, with the opportunity to gain practical experience in:
    Purchase Ledger
    Sales Ledger
    Credit Control
    Invoice Processing
    Reconciliations
    Wider Financial Administration
As your knowledge, skills and confidence develop, there is the potential to progress into an Accounts Administrator position.
If you’re looking for a role where you can get your foot in the door of Accounts, learn on the job and build a long-term career, we’d love to hear from you
