How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your new role
    As Site Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of a prestigious £90m secure government project in Renfrew. Working alongside the Senior Site Manager and Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a section of works, ensuring activities are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
    Key responsibilities include:

    Managing day-to-day site operations within your designated work area
    Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works progress to programme
    Maintaining excellent health & safety standards on site
    Monitoring quality and ensuring compliance with project specifications
    Conducting site inspections and toolbox talks
    Assisting with short-term planning and programme management
    Building strong relationships with the client team and key stakeholders
    Supporting project delivery through to successful completion
    What you'll need to succeed

    Previous experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor
    Proven track record delivering new-build construction projects
    Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and site management procedures
    Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trade packages
    Excellent communication and organisational skills
    SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
    Security clearance eligibility would be advantageous due to the nature of the project
