How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer with HV qualification to join our engineering team at our prestigious London office.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically biased engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and has a strong background in planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and building services.

    You will play a key role in keeping the building safe, compliant and fully operational, responding to faults and alarms while delivering high standards of planned and preventative maintenance.

    As a Electrical Maintenance Engineer you'll:

    Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the site.
    Fault finding, diagnostics, repairs and authorised minor electrical works.
    Supporting the safe operation and maintenance of HV and LV electrical systems.
    Responding to electrical faults, alarms, power issues and building services incidents.
    Carrying out regular plant room, equipment and building inspections.
    Supporting mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, BMS, controls and other building services within your competence.
    Working safely within permit-to-work, risk assessment, safe isolation and LOTO procedures.
    Supporting emergency response and business continuity requirements.
    Coordinating and monitoring specialist contractors where required.
    Maintaining accurate records, maintenance logs and work orders through the CMMS.
    Providing clear shift handovers and communicating outstanding issues, risks and ongoing works.
    Identifying recurring faults and opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and energy performance.
    Providing a professional and customer-focused engineering service to DLA Piper employees, visitors and stakeholders.What we're looking for:

    Essential:
    Recognised Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
    18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
    HV qualification and experiencewith the ability to work safely within an HV environment.
    Strong practical experience in commercial building services or facilities management.
    Proven experience in planned and reactive electrical maintenance and fault finding.
    Good understanding of safe systems of work, including RAMS, permits, isolation and LOTO.
    Ability to work independently, diagnose faults and make sound technical decisions.
    Practical understanding of wider building services such as HVAC, mechanical systems, BMS and plumbing.
    Strong communication and customer service skills.
    Ability to work as part of a shift team, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
    Comfortable using CMMS and Microsoft Office systems for maintenance and compliance records.
    Desirable:

    Electrical Inspection & Testing – 2391/2394/2395 or equivalent.
    Previous appointment as an Electrical Authorised Person (AP), Responsible Person or Competent Person.
    Experience with UPS, generators, HVAC, pumps, motors and other critical building infrastructure.
    JIB accreditation or Engineering Technician registration.
    IPAF, PASMA, confined space, first aid or IOSH qualifications.
