The successful Early Career Teacher will take responsibility for a primary class, with the year group matched as closely as possible to their experience and strengths.
Responsibilities
• Planning and teaching engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
• Adapting teaching to meet pupils’ different abilities and needs
• Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom
• Assessing learning and using outcomes to inform future planning
• Supporting pupils’ academic progress and personal development
• Working closely with year-group colleagues, teaching assistants and senior leaders
• Communicating professionally with parents and carers
• Contributing to wider school life and professional-development activities
• Meeting all safeguarding and Teachers’ Standards requirements
Requirements
• UK Qualified Teacher Status by the start of the role
• Recent UK primary teaching placements or classroom experience
• Secure knowledge of the primary curriculum
• A reflective and enthusiastic approach to teaching
• Strong planning, assessment and behaviour-management skills
• A commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations
• Good professional references from recent teaching placements
• The right to work in the UK
