How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    KS2 Teacher

    Location: Wandsworth, South West London

    Salary: £40,372–£59,864 per annum (M1–UPS3)

    Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary

    Start date: 28 September 2026 or as soon as possible

    A forward-thinking primary school in Wandsworth is seeking an inspiring KS2 Teacher to join its teaching team on a full-time, long-term basis.

    The school provides an engaging curriculum that combines strong foundations in English and mathematics with creative, practical and enrichment opportunities. Leaders are looking for a KS2 Teacher who can set high expectations while ensuring that pupils feel supported, challenged and enthusiastic about learning.

    Responsibilities

    • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum

    • Using assessment effectively to identify gaps and support pupil progress

    • Differentiating teaching for pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs

    • Establishing clear routines and maintaining positive behaviour

    • Supporting pupils’ confidence, independence and readiness for their next stage

    • Working collaboratively with parallel teachers and support staff

    • Building productive relationships with parents and carers

    • Participating in staff meetings, training and wider school activities

    • Maintaining accurate records and fulfilling all safeguarding responsibilities

    Requirements

    • UK Qualified Teacher Status

    • Successful experience teaching within Key Stage 2

    • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and age-related expectations

    • Effective planning, assessment and behaviour-management skills

    • The ability to provide appropriate challenge and support

    • A commitment to inclusive teaching and pupil wellbeing

    • Strong organisational and communication skills

    • ECTs with relevant KS2 experience and experienced teachers are welcome to apply
