How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Promoting equality, dignity, respect and inclusion at all times

    About You

    We are looking for someone who is non-judgemental, patient and able to build positive professional relationships with people who may have complex needs or challenging life experiences.

    You will ideally have:

    * Experience working in supported living, social care, mental health, homelessness, rehabilitation, substance misuse, probation or a related setting

    * A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable adults

    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    * The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

    * Good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries

    * The ability to work independently and as part of a team

    * Good written and verbal communication skills

    * A positive and solution-focused approach

    * Reliability, resilience and a willingness to learn

    Essential 6 month or more experience of working in the care sector within the UK

    What We Offer

    * Competitive salary

    * Full-time, part-time and bank opportunities

    * Comprehensive induction and training

    * Ongoing learning and development

    * Regular supervision and support

    * Opportunities for career progression

    * A supportive and inclusive working environment

    * The opportunity to make a genuine difference to people's lives
