How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a hands-on technical and commercial role where you will use your automatic-door experience to ensure works are accurately surveyed, priced, procured and prepared before engineers or subcontractors attend site.

Review site surveys, engineer reports, customer enquiries, specifications and technical information.
Identify required labour, materials, equipment, access and subcontract requirements.
Obtain and assess supplier pricing, availability and lead times.
Produce accurate and commercially appropriate costings and quotations.
Attend sites across London, Essex and Kent to survey automatic doors and entrance systems.
Take accurate measurements, photographs and equipment details and assess site constraints.
Identify suitable equipment, components and installation requirements.
Order equipment, parts and materials for confirmed works.
Maintain relationships with automatic-door suppliers and manufacturers.
Monitor orders and proactively identify potential delays.
Coordinate parts, equipment and technical information for engineers and subcontractors.
Support the handover from approved quotation through to delivery.
Ensure jobs are properly prepared to reduce aborted visits and delays.
Maintain accurate information within the company's CRM/job-management systems.

    Essential Experience

    Applicants MUST have:

Previous UK experience within the automatic-door industry.
Experience with automatic doors in a construction, installation or specialist subcontracting environment.
Strong knowledge of automatic-door systems and associated components.
Experience estimating, surveying, pricing or preparing automatic-door works.
Ability to assess site requirements and translate surveys into accurate quotations.
Experience dealing with automatic-door suppliers, manufacturers, engineers or subcontractors.
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London, Essex and Kent.Relevant experience could include automatic sliding, swing or folding doors, powered pedestrian doors and associated entrance/access systems.

    The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and work independently.

You should be technically confident enough to understand an automatic-door requirement, identify the equipment and materials required, obtain supplier pricing, produce a commercially sound quotation and ensure the job is fully prepared for delivery.

You should be technically minded, commercially aware, organised, proactive and confident dealing with customers, suppliers, engineers and subcontractors.

    What's on Offer?

£350-£400 per day CIS, depending on experience and autonomy.
