How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical Project Manager
Essex| Data Centre | Full Time
    £400 per day
Our client is a UK-based data centre specialist delivering complex, technically demanding projects where there's no room for error. They're looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join full time on a live data centre project in Essex.
This role goes beyond package management — they need someone technically strong who can get into the detail, resolve design and coordination issues, and keep the project moving, not just oversee the install on site.
    What you'll be doing
    * Take technical ownership of the electrical package, resolving design and coordination issues rather than simply managing the install on site.
    * Work through RFIs, drawing queries and technical close-out with design consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team.
    * Coordinate the electrical scope with other services — mechanical, fire, BMS — to avoid clashes and keep design intent intact.
    * Oversee delivery of busbar, LV power distribution, fire alarm/smoke systems, containment and small power installations.
    * Review and manage method statements, risk assessments and ITPs relating to the electrical package.
    * Monitor progress against programme, flag risks early, and help drive resolution of technical issues before they impact schedule.
    * Liaise with commissioning teams to ensure a smooth handover from installation through to testing and commissioning.
    * Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including RFIs, submittals and red-line drawings.
    What you'll need
    * Strong electrical building services experience, ideally within data centres, critical infrastructure, hospitals, airports, labs or live commercial projects.
    * Hands-on technical knowledge of busbar, LV power, fire alarm/smoke systems, containment, small power, distribution and coordination with other services.
    * Comfortable and confident dealing with RFIs, drawing issues, coordination problems and technical close-out — this is a technically-led role, not just package management.
    * Background as an Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Contracts Manager, or a strong Senior Electrical Package Manager ready to operate at this level.
    * Available to commit to a full-time, permanent position.
    * Able to get to Harlow on a daily basis.
    Why this role
A genuinely technical role on a live data centre project, with real ownership of the electrical package and the stability of a permanent position.
