How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Contribute ideas to the product development roadmap.

    * Keep up to date with new materials, design methods and emerging technologies.

    Engineering Development & Documentation

    * Produce manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assembly instructions.

    * Support prototype builds, testing, validation and iterative design improvements.

    * Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and safety requirements.

    * Participate in technical design reviews and identify engineering risks and opportunities for improvement.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    * Work with product development, operations, sales and R&D teams to understand technical and commercial requirements.

    * Collaborate with CAD technicians to maintain consistent modelling practices, shared assemblies and drawing standards.

    * Work with production and quality teams to ensure designs are accurate, manufacturable and reliable.

    * Provide engineering input for marketing materials, product launches and customer documentation.

    * Liaise with suppliers regarding materials, manufacturing feasibility and production processes.

    * Strong CAD skills, with Solid Edge preferred but NOT essential

    * Background in product design engineering, mechanical engineering or a related discipline.

    * Experience producing 3D models, engineering drawings and technical documentation.

    * Good understanding of manufacturing processes, including fabrication, machining, plastics and assembly.

    Working Arrangements & Salary

    * Hours: Monday–Friday, with some flexibility depending on project requirements.

    * Meetings: Weekly product development meetings, regular project reviews and cross-department meetings as required.
