How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Shift: Monday to Friday, Days
    Sector: Heavy Industry / Manufacturing

    The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Planner to join a well-established, heavily invested heavy industrial manufacturing site currently undergoing significant development and expansion.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to come off the tools and move into a hands-off, planning-focused position within a structured and forward-thinking environment.

Working as part of a close-knit team of three, the Engineering Planner will play a key role in ensuring engineering and maintenance activities are planned, scheduled and delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You’ll be responsible for developing and managing engineering plans in line with the Maintenance Management Plan (MMP), coordinating resources, supporting contractors and ensuring work is delivered effectively.

    Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed engineering and maintenance plans aligned with the MMP
Review and manage maintenance requests through the CMMS, including creating work orders
Conduct site assessments and identify required resources, including materials, tools and contractors
Prepare risk assessments and safe systems of work
Coordinate engineering schedules with supervisors and production teams
Manage both reactive and planned engineering activities
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits
Arrange contractor bookings, reporting and engineering meetings
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and reduce costs
Supervise contractors and act as Responsible Officer (RO)
Issue and manage permits to work
Maintain high standards of safety, communication and leadership

    Non-Negotiable Requirements

Experience as a engineering or maintenance planner or an experienced engineering manager who is looking to come off the tools

    Additional Requirements

Due to the nature of the site, candidates must be:

Willing to undertake monthly blood tests
Willing to shower on-site before shifts

    What’s On Offer?

£56,500 salary, with expected future increases
Potential to move to a 4-day working week after probation
Opportunity to join a globally backed, market-leading business
    Company pension scheme
    Private medical insurance
    Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
    Cycle to work scheme
    On-site gym
    Free on-site parking
    Company sick pay
Excellent long-term job security due to significant ongoing investment

    The Ideal Candidate

This role would suit an experienced Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Engineering Planner who is ready to take the next step away from the tools.

If you want to use your hands-on engineering experience in a planning-focused role, while working for a business investing heavily in its site and future, this is an excellent opportunity.
