How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Production Operative with FLT
    Location: Rochdale, OL16

    Hours of Work:
    Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pm & Friday: 7:00am – 1:30pm
    Hourly rate: £13.62
    Job Type: Full-time Temp to Perm
    Requirements: Valid Counterbalance License, and Manufacturing experience

    Main Purpose of the Role
    Working to strict Health & Safety and Quality requirements, the Production Operative with FLT responsibility will contribute to achieving daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity, ensuring customer expectations and requirements are consistently met.

    The role involves working across multiple areas of the production and warehouse operation, maintaining high standards of efficiency, housekeeping and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be capable of working independently with minimal supervision, while supporting colleagues and senior team members as required.

    Production & Operational Duties
    Produce multiple batches during the working day, with the number of batches dependent on the type and size of the product
    Ensure all production activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures
    Work to required production schedules, quality standards and deadlines
    Demonstrate general competency across all areas of Production
    Work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of work
    Support senior team members with ad hoc projects and improvement activities
    Report low stock levels promptly to the appropriate person to help prevent production delays

    FLT & Warehouse Duties
    Safely operate a Forklift Truck (FLT) in accordance with company procedures and relevant legislation.
    Load and unload incoming and outgoing deliveries safely and efficiently.
    Move raw materials, finished products and other goods around the site as required.
    Assist with the correct storage and organisation of materials and finished products.
    Carry out warehouse duties, including order picking and stock movements.
    Ensure materials are handled carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
    Maintain accurate stock movements and report any discrepancies or issues.

    Skills, Experience & Competencies
    Previous experience within a production, manufacturing or warehouse environment.
    A valid FLT licence with practical experience operating a forklift.
    Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a manufacturing environment
