Simply Education is recruiting a Qualified Speech & Language Therapist to join a supportive specialist education setting for children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism (ASC) and SEMH needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established multidisciplinary team where Speech & Language Therapy is genuinely valued and embedded into everyday school life.
The Role
You'll work with a small caseload of pupils, helping them develop their communication skills and access education successfully. You'll also have the opportunity to help shape and develop the school's SaLT provision.
Your role will include:
Carrying out specialist assessments and contributing to EHCPs and annual reviews
Planning and delivering individual and targeted interventions
Supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs
Working closely with teachers, TAs and the wider therapy team
Training and advising staff on communication strategies
Supporting and providing guidance to a dedicated Therapy Assistant
What We're Looking For
You'll need to:
Be HCPC registered and a member of RCSLT
Hold a recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree or equivalent
Have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
Be confident working independently as part of a supportive MDTExperience within SEND, Autism, SEMH or a school environment would be beneficial.
