Search Consultancy is looking for a skilled, time-served Ceramic Tiler to join a high-profile commercial development in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are partnering with a premier fit-out contractor requiring a precision operative capable of delivering top-tier finishes across high-volume commercial spaces.

The Role

Full Tiling Scope: Fixing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles to floors and walls on large-scale commercial developments.

Surface Preparation: Inspecting, cleaning, leveling, and priming substrates, including rendering walls and applying self-leveling screeds where required.

Precision Layout & Cutting: Setting out complex tile patterns and using wet cutters, manual cutters, and angle grinders for accurate cuts around fixtures, drainage, and corners.

Grouting & Sealing: Applying appropriate grouts, movement joints, and silicone sealants to deliver a watertight, pristine, and client-ready finish.

High Output & Safety: Maintaining top standards of quality while meeting project program deadlines in a safe, organized manner.

Requirements

CSCS Card: A valid CSCS Card (Tiler / Skilled Worker) is mandatory.

Experience: Proven track record in commercial tiling, large-format tile installation, and high-volume commercial fit-outs.

Tools & Equipment: Complete professional tiling toolkit (manual tile cutter, wet saw, floats, trowels, levels) and standard 5-point PPE.

Reliability: Strong attention to detail, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a finishing gang.

Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
