How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Saw Operator

    Location: Kidderminster
    Pay: £14.50 per hour, increasing to £15.22 per hour once fully trained
    Shifts: 6:00am–2:00pm / 11:00am–7:00pm
    Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

    About the Role

    We are currently recruiting for 2 Saw Operators to join a growing manufacturing team in Kidderminster.

    The role involves operating industrial saws to cut stainless steel long products to specific lengths and quantities. You'll be joining an established team with further investment in new machinery, creating an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a growing operation.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Loading and operating saws with stainless steel long products

    *

    Programming machines to cut specific lengths and quantities

    *

    Packing finished pieces onto pallets

    *

    Shrink wrapping and preparing products for dispatch

    *

    Marking and labelling materials accurately

    *

    Moving pallets using a forklift

    *

    Cleaning and maintaining machinery and the working area

    *

    Following health & safety and production procedures

    *

    Working as part of a team to meet production requirements

    About You

    *

    Previous experience operating saws or machinery is desirable

    *

    Experience working with steel or stainless steel would be an advantage

    *

    Valid forklift licence required

    *

    Counterbalance forklift experience essential

    *

    Side-loader experience desirable, although in-house training/upskilling can be provided

    *

    Good attention to detail

    *

    Reliable, practical and safety-conscious

    *

    Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment

    *

    Willing to learn and develop within the role
