The Role

Are you an experienced Maths specialist looking to move into Further Education, or an established Maths Lecturer looking for your next opportunity?

Aspire People are working in partnership with Further Education providers across South Wales to recruit experienced Lecturers in Maths.

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your subject knowledge, professional experience and teaching skills to support the next generation of learners, helping students develop their knowledge and skills, achieve qualifications and progress into employment or further study.

Working within a Further Education setting, you will:

* Deliver engaging GCSE and A-Level Mathematics lessons
* Plan and prepare high-quality lessons appropriate to different learner abilities
* Support learners preparing for examinations and assessments
* Develop learners' mathematical knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills
* Assess learner progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
* Monitor attendance, progress and achievement
* Support learners who may have SEN/ALN or additional learning needs
* Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement
* Embed numeracy and employability skills where appropriate

What We're Looking For

* Degree or Level 3+ qualification in Mathematics or a related subject
* Strong subject knowledge across GCSE and A-Level Mathematics
* Experience teaching or supporting learners at GCSE and/or A-Level
* Understanding of examination requirements and assessment
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Teaching qualification desirable
* Experience working within FE is desirable but not essential
* Experience supporting learners with SEN/ALN is beneficial
