How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager, the Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial and contractual management of key work packages, helping to ensure the project is delivered safely, profitably, and in line with contractual obligations.

    Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and management of monthly valuations and payment applications.
Support the commercial management of subcontractor packages, including procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Assist with cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Monitor and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
Review contract documentation and support contract administration activities.
Assist in the preparation and negotiation of variations, claims, and final accounts.
Prepare detailed commercial reports for project and senior management teams.
Liaise with site, design, procurement, and project delivery teams.
Support the successful commercial delivery of a large-scale mission-critical construction project.
Maintain accurate records and commercial documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

    Requirements

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
3+ years' experience within the construction industry.
Previous experience working with a main contractor or specialist contractor.
Experience delivering commercial aspects of construction projects.
Data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, advanced manufacturing, logistics, or major infrastructure experience would be advantageous.
    Good contractual and commercial awareness.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in commercial reporting and cost management systems.
Ability to work within a fast-paced and technically challenging environment.

    Why Apply?

This position offers the opportunity to be part of a major project that is helping shape the future of digital infrastructure in the UK. Working with a leading Irish contractor, you will gain exposure to complex engineering solutions, large-scale commercial management, and a project environment that will significantly accelerate your career development.
