How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We’re looking for a full timeProject Manager who can turn plans into action, bring people together and make things happen. From major capital projects to college-wide initiatives, you’ll have the opportunity to make a visible and lasting impact on how our College operates and how our new campus takes shape.

    As the Project Manager, you’ll provide expert project management support across the College, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget. You’ll lead the upcoming DTEC project, while playing a key role in preparing staff and managers for the transition into ournew and refurbished buildings as part of the Big Build. You’ll lead the Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE) workstream and Big CampusTidy Up, coordinate relocation planning and support the College’s preparations for the Defence CareersHub, working closely with internal teams, external partners and suppliers. You’ll also take responsibility as our Travel Plan Co-ordinator, developing and implementing the agreed action plan with the Local Authority. It’s a varied, high-profile rolewhere you’ll use your planning, coordination, budget management, risk management and stakeholder skills to drive projects forward, solve challenges and help deliver the College’s ambitious plans for the future.     What we'relooking for:

    *

    Proven project or operational coordination experience, ideally 3–5 years, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    *

    Strong planning and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage timescales, budgets, quality and competing demands.

    *

    Confident communicator and relationship builder, able to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders at all levels, including influencing middle and senior leaders.

    *

    A practical, solutions-focused approach, with the flexibility and creativity to overcome challenges, manage constraints and keep projects moving forward.

    *

    Strong IT and project management skills, with experience using Microsoft Office and project management tools such as MS Project or Asana, alongside effective systems for tracking progress.

    *

    A collaborative and self-motivated team player, able to work independently, take ownership and confidently coordinate the work of others to achieve successful outcomes.
