How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mobile LCV Technician / Van Mechanic
     
    Location: Covering East and South London, with occasional West London work and workshop support in Heathrow
    Salary: Up to £40,950 basic per annum, depending on experience
    Earnings: Plus overtime, with required weekend work paid at 1.5x
    Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
    Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with some weekend work required

    ISQ Recruitment is recruiting for a Mobile LCV Technician / Van Mechanic to join a well-established commercial vehicle business. Offering a mix of customer-site work and workshop support, this role suits a qualified technician who enjoys variety, independent working and diagnosing faults.
     
    You will maintain and repair light commercial vehicles across customer locations, primarily in East and South London. With a 37.5-hour basic working week, overtime opportunities and ongoing training, this is an opportunity to develop your technical skills while keeping customers' vans on the road.
     
    The Role
    You will carry out servicing, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs at customer sites, with occasional work in West London. You will also support the Heathrow workshop when required, working closely with the wider service team to complete repairs safely and efficiently.
     
    Key Responsibilities

    Carry out routine servicing, inspections and maintenance on vans and light commercial vehicles.
    Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete effective repairs.
    Identify worn or defective components and assess the work required.
    Maintain accurate job records, including work completed and any further repairs needed.
    Keep customers and the service team informed of vehicle progress.
    Follow health and safety procedures when working onsite and in the workshop. What We're Looking For

    Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle or LCV Maintenance and Repair, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI.
    Experience as an LCV Technician, Van Mechanic or Vehicle Technician, with relevant servicing and diagnostic skills.
    Ability to identify worn and faulty components in line with DVSA standards.
    Confidence working independently and managing your workload across customer sites.
    Clear communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.
    A full UK driving licence covering the relevant vehicle classes.
    Flexibility to support the workshop and undertake some weekend work. What's on Offer
