How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Graduate Engineer

    £34,000 per annum

    Permanent

    Monday - Friday 8am - 5:15pm with an early finish on a Friday

    The Role

    A fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join a well-established global manufacturing business in Wrexham. This role is ideal for someone early in their engineering career who is eager to develop hands-on skills across mechanical, electrical, and facilities engineering. You'll work closely with the Engineering Department, supporting breakdowns, learning Planned Preventive Maintenance routines, and contributing to continuous improvement projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    Supporting mechanical maintenance, installation work, and basic electrical installation.
    Assisting with general facility maintenance and improvement projects, including working with external contractors.
    Following scheduled maintenance activities while remaining flexible to support Production and Moulding Operations.
    Developing a basic understanding of PLC programming, enabling minor programme adjustments.
    Contributing to energy-saving initiatives and improvement projects.
    Supporting TPM activities and assisting with automation equipment maintenance and production breakdowns.
    Requirements

    HND or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
    Ideally, working towards or interested in gaining the 18th Edition qualification.
    Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and improve engineering systems.
    Interest in developing skills across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and facilities engineering.
