Production Manager

Straight Day Shifts (with some flexibility on hours worked)
 
We are working with a sub-contract sheet metal business in Coventry, who are looking to recruit an experienced Production Manager to oversee sheet metal fabrication operations across their sites.
 
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will be responsible for:

Managing production operations across multiple sheet metal fabrication sites with 25-30 direct reports
Leading process improvements and implement new operational standards to drive efficiency and ensure work is completed OTIF. Preferred Requirements

Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and production workflows
Proven experience managing large teams in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a constantly changing setting
PC literate and comfortable using production management systems and tools
Self-starter mentality with the drive to hit the ground running and contribute ideas for process improvement.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Preferred Qualifications

Qualification in Production Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role within a sheet metal fabrication business.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who can make an immediate impact; someone who is ambitious, who knows the manufacturing processes and can improve on them.  Someone who is not afraid to challenge methods, to suggest improvements.  We are looking for someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and adaptability is essential.
