I am currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant in Lewisham to join a welcoming primary school and provide high-quality support to pupils with additional needs.

The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Lewisham, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider SEN team to support pupils with a range of additional needs.
You may be providing:
1:1 and small group support
Support for pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
Assistance with classroom learning and activities
Emotional and behavioural support
Personal care where required
Support with communication and social development
Assistance with implementing individual learning and support plans

🕐 Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
💷 Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Ideal Candidate
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant in Lewisham will ideally have:
Previous experience supporting children with SEN
Primary school or education experience
A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
Strong classroom management skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for inclusive educationExperience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or complex learning needs would be advantageous.
