How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Primary School Learning Support Worker

    Location: Cheltenham
    Rate: £90 - £105 DOE
    Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
    Start Date: ASAP

    About the Role

    We are looking for a caring, patient and dedicated Learning Support Worker to join our supportive school team.

    The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils with their learning, development, communication and wellbeing. You will help children overcome barriers to learning and encourage them to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
    Support children to access learning and participate fully in classroom activities.
    Assist pupils with additional learning needs and individual support programmes.
    Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
    Support pupils with communication, social and emotional development.
    Work closely with teachers to adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs.
    Monitor and record pupils progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
    Support pupils during break times, lunchtimes and school activities.
    Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
    Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming learning environment.
