How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Turnover Engineer Opportunity - Hyperscale Data Centre - Newport, Wales

We have an opportunity to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Newport with an established main contractor that has a strong presence in the mission critical sector.

With approximately nine months remaining on the project and further data centre projects starting across the UK and Europe, this opportunity offers immediate project involvement and the potential for longer-term progression.

    The Role

As Turnover Engineer, you will coordinate the turnover and handover process, ensuring completed systems and associated documentation meet project requirements and are ready for client acceptance.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    *

Coordinating system turnover with construction, commissioning and quality teams.

    *

Preparing, reviewing and tracking turnover packs and handover documentation.

    *

Checking that inspection records, test certificates, O&M manuals and as-built information are complete.

    *

Monitoring snagging and outstanding items, working with subcontractors to achieve close-out.

    *

Maintaining turnover trackers and reporting progress against project milestones.

    *

Liaising with client representatives to support a structured handover.

    About You

We are looking for an organised engineer with experience managing turnover or handover on complex construction projects.

    You will ideally bring:

    *

Experience in a Turnover Engineer, Handover Engineer, Completions Engineer or similar role.

    *

A background in data centres, mission critical facilities or other technically demanding projects.

    *

A good understanding of MEP systems, commissioning interfaces and quality documentation.

    *

Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing documentation against deadlines.

    *

Strong communication skills and a practical approach to resolving outstanding issues.

    What’s on Offer

    *

Competitive day rates or market-challenging permanent salaries, depending on experience and engagement preference.

    *

Potential follow-on opportunities across a growing UK and European data centre portfolio.

    *

The opportunity to work with a main contractor with a significant mission critical presence.
