How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you passionate about supporting young people with their mental health and emotional wellbeing? Are you looking to start a rewarding school-based role immediately, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position?

We are working in partnership with schools across Corby who are seeking dedicated Mental Health Teaching Assistants to join their teams as soon as possible. These full-time, temporary to permanent roles involve supporting students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs within inclusive, nurturing educational environments where wellbeing and pastoral care are a key priority.

    About the Role:

Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils experiencing anxiety, low mood, behavioural challenges, trauma-related needs, or difficulties with emotional regulation

Support students in developing resilience, confidence, emotional literacy, and positive coping strategies

Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, pastoral leads, and safeguarding teams to implement and review tailored support plans

Assist in delivering targeted interventions and wellbeing programmes within the school setting

Promote a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment throughout the school day, including during unstructured times

Monitor, record, and report on student progress in line with school policies and safeguarding procedures

Contribute to a whole-school approach to mental health and emotional wellbeing

    We're Looking For:

Experience working with children or young people with social, emotional, or mental health needs in schools, youth work, care, or similar settings

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider school support team

A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

Relevant qualifications or training in mental health, psychology, youth work, education, or a related field (desirable but not essential)

    What's on Offer:

ASAP start, full-time, temporary to permanent roles in schools across Corby

Competitive pay, dependent on experience and qualifications

Free access to CPD and training, including courses via The National College

Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant throughout your placement

The opportunity to progress into a permanent role within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment

If you are committed to improving young people's mental health and want to begin making a difference straight away, we would love to hear from you.
