How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce energy and utility costs.

    * Complete relevant maintenance and statutory documentation.

    About You

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering background with strong hands-on experience and ideally be apprentice trained to a minimum Level 2 (C&G / EAL / NVQ) standard.

Candidates with relevant mechanical experience, a strong practical aptitude and the right attitude will also be considered.

    You should have:

    * Hands-on mechanical engineering or fitting experience.

    * Experience within a manufacturing, processing or similar industrial environment.

    * Experience with PPM and mechanical fault-finding.

    * A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.

    * Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

    * The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    * A willingness to undertake further training and development.

    * The right to work in the UK.

    * The ability to reliably travel to the site.

    Shift Pattern

4 days on / 4 days off – rotating days and nights.

    Average 43 hours per week.

    Salary & Benefits

Paid overtime at time and a quarter.

20 days' holiday, company pension, company sick pay, life assurance, Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice, Cycle to Work scheme and occupational health support.

Additional benefits include an Employee Assistance Programme, employee discounts across retail, restaurants and gyms, financial education and guidance, and a £300 Introduce a Friend reward.
