How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Technical Sales Consultant

    About the Role

    We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Technical Sales Consultant to join our growing sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading international provider of warehouse storage, racking, and automation solutions, helping customers optimize their warehousing and logistics operations.

    You will take ownership of the entire sales cycle, from identifying new business opportunities through to project delivery, while building long-term relationships with customers across the warehousing and logistics sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Generate and develop new business opportunities for warehouse racking, shelving, and storage solutions.

    * Identify, qualify, and convert leads into quotations, projects, and revenue-generating orders.

    * Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through proactive prospecting and customer engagement.

    * Provide expert technical guidance and solution-based selling to customers.

    * Develop accurate and commercially competitive proposals and quotations.

    * Understand customer requirements and recommend tailored storage and warehouse solutions.

    * Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.

    * Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales and project lifecycle.

    * Act as the primary point of contact for customer communications.

    * Manage projects from initial enquiry through to final handover.

    * Coordinate internally with Engineering, Logistics, Installation, and Administration teams to ensure successful project delivery.

    * Oversee contract management and facilitate communication between customers and operational teams.

    * Develop weekly and monthly sales plans.

    * Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.

    * Track sales performance against targets and identify opportunities for growth.

    Requirements

    Essential

    * 2-5 years of experience in a technical sales, business development, or account management role.

    * Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

    * Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset.

    * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    * Technical qualification, engineering background, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.

    * Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    Desirable

    * Experience selling into the warehousing, logistics, intralogistics, storage systems, materials handling, or automation sectors.

    * Knowledge of CAD software or similar technical design packages.

    * Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and developing new business opportunities
