How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Energy Analyst to join a growing and highly respected research team based in Norwich.     Key Responsibilities

    Produce and review high-quality research, analysis and subscription content for customers.

    Lead complex research projects, developing methodologies and validating data sources.

    Monitor market, regulatory and policy developments, identifying key industry trends.

    Translate complex information into clear, commercially relevant insights and recommendations.

    Enhance research processes through automation, AI, digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Support consultancy projects by providing specialist sector expertise and analytical insight.

    Deliver webinars, presentations and training sessions to internal and external audiences.

    Build strong relationships with customers and industry stakeholders through regular engagement.

    Mentor and support junior analysts through coaching and knowledge sharing.

    Contribute to business growth through customer retention, account support and market engagement activities.

    Skills & Experience

    Experience conducting research and analysis within the energy sector.

    Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant professional experience.

    Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving capabilities.

    Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

    Strong understanding of energy markets, policy and regulatory frameworks.

    Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.

    Experience presenting insights to customers and senior stakeholders.

    Strong commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset.

    Proficiency with digital research, reporting and analytical tools.

    Ability to work independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
