How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Interaction Engineering

    Site Manager

    The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Site Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of allocated project sites.

This is a hands-on role, responsible for ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, while supporting the project team in achieving programme and completion targets.

Working closely with the Contracts Manager, clients, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams, you will play a key role in maintaining a well-organised and productive site environment.

    Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day site operations on allocated projects.

Ensure all site activities are planned, coordinated and carried out in accordance with the project programme.

Attend site progress meetings and briefings, providing feedback to the Contracts Manager on key issues, actions and progress.

Identify and report any issues that may affect health and safety, programme, quality, productivity or project costs.

Assist the Contracts Manager with monitoring and maintaining the project programme.

Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors to ensure works are completed efficiently and in accordance with the programme.

Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure works are completed to the required standards and timescales.

Coordinate the delivery and availability of materials and products required to maintain progress on site.

Maintain accurate records of site variations, delays and programme issues and report these to the Contracts Manager.

Ensure the site is maintained in a safe, clean and well-organised condition.

Manage day-to-day site health and safety requirements in accordance with the client's Health and Safety Policy and relevant legislation.

Promote a strong health and safety culture across the site.

Support the delivery of projects with a clear focus on achieving a zero-defect handover to the client.

Liaise with clients and their representatives in a professional and proactive manner.

Respond promptly to site enquiries and resolve issues where possible, escalating matters to the Contracts Manager when required.

Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.

Ensure site documentation is maintained and kept up to date.

Support site audits, inspections and the implementation of any required corrective actions.

Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, RAMS and project requirements.

Support the Contracts Manager in achieving programme, quality, health and safety and client satisfaction objectives.

    What We're Looking For

We are looking for an organised, proactive and experienced Site Manager who is confident managing day-to-day site operations and coordinating multiple trades and activities.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience as a Site Manager or in a similar site-based management role.

Experience within the construction, fit-out or shopfitting environment.

Strong knowledge of site operations and construction processes.

Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors.

A good understanding of construction programmes and project delivery.

A strong understanding of health and safety requirements and site procedures.

Experience reviewing and working in accordance with RAMS.

    Excellent communication and organisational skills.

The ability to identify issues early and take a proactive approach to resolving them.

The ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.

A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

A positive and professional approach to site management.

    What You'll Bring

We are looking for a hands-on, proactive and solutions-focused Site Manager who takes pride in maintaining high standards across their projects.

You will be someone who can confidently manage the day-to-day running of a site, communicate effectively with all members of the project team and ensure works are progressing safely and efficiently.

You should be organised, approachable and able to deal with issues quickly and professionally, while maintaining a strong focus on programme, quality and health and safety.

    Why Join Us?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team where you will play an important role in the successful delivery of a range of projects.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Contracts Managers and project teams, take ownership of site operations and contribute to the continued success of the business.

We value teamwork, accountability, quality, safety and continuous improvement, and we are looking for someone who shares these values.

    Professional Development

We are committed to supporting the ongoing development of our people. The successful candidate will be encouraged to attend relevant training, develop their professional knowledge and contribute to the continual improvement of our site operations and working practices.

If you are an experienced Site Manager looking for your next opportunity and believe you have the skills and experience to make a real impact, we would love to hear from you.
