Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Carry out planned maintenance, fault-finding, and emergency repairs on a wide range of piling equipment, excavators, and heavy construction ancillaries across England and Wales.
Diagnose complex hydraulic faults, engine issues, and basic auto-electrical problems both on-site and in the workshop.
Work independently in the field while maintaining clear communication with the service desk, site managers, and team leads.
Complete all necessary service sheets, defect reports, and maintenance records accurately.
Occasional stayaways required depending on site locations (fully funded with expenses).
What We're Looking For
Technical Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent heavy plant/agricultural engineering qualification).
Core Experience: Proven hands-on background working on heavy construction plant, excavators, piling rigs, diesel engines, and heavy hydraulics.
Key Skills: Confident with fault-finding on complex hydraulic systems and basic auto-electrics. You must be able to hit the ground running on day one.
Work Ethic & Flexibility: Full UK Driving Licence, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to travel and undertake occasional stayaways when required.
