How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Diagnostic Technician

    Location: Nottingham
    Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 OTE/annum Subject to Qualifications
    Job Type: Full Time

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join our client's busy dealership in Nottingham.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Technician looking to develop their career within a professional and well-established automotive environment.

    Diagnostic Technician - Key Responsibilities

    Carry out complex diagnostic investigations and repairs across a range of vehicles.
    Diagnose electrical, electronic and mechanical faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
    Complete vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
    Identify faults efficiently and provide accurate technical solutions.
    Carry out vehicle health checks and ensure all work is completed in line with manufacturer standards.
    Maintain accurate records of all diagnostic work and repairs undertaken.
    Work closely with the Service Department to ensure vehicles are repaired efficiently and within agreed timescales.
    Maintain a clean, safe and professional working environment.Key Requirements

    Previous experience as a Diagnostic Technician within a franchised dealership or independent automotive environment.
    Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
    Qualified to NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / IMI Level 3 or equivalent.
    Experience with manufacturer diagnostic equipment and technical information systems.
    A strong understanding of modern vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
    Full UK driving licence.
    A professional approach with excellent attention to detail.
