How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Business Systems Manager

Quantum Design Oxford, Tubney is looking for a Business Systems Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the business systems that support our engineering projects, operations processes and decision-making.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a key management role responsible for ensuring our information technology and business systems operate efficiently, securely and in line with business goals. The successful candidate will help shape how information flows across the organisation, improving data integrity, process discipline and access to accurate management information.

    The role

As Business Systems Manager, you will define, implement and maintain systems across areas such as PLM, ERP and CRM, supporting sales, engineering and operations from opportunity assessment through to production scheduling, resource allocation, capacity planning and output forecasting.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to identify requirements, streamline processes, reduce duplication, support system implementations and provide clear dashboards and visual management information. You will also lead and support the Business Systems and IT teams, ensuring effective day-to-day support, infrastructure reliability, cyber and data security, and continuous system improvement.

    About you

You will bring a degree or significant experience in Business Systems Management, together with a strong understanding of business systems, database design, policies and procedures. Experience with SQL, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project would be valuable, as would knowledge of lean methodologies such as Value Stream Mapping, Kanban and One Piece Flow.

We are looking for someone who can plan effectively, manage multiple projects, analyse information, make sound decisions and lead others through change. You will be proactive, flexible, commercially aware and confident working collaboratively across teams to deliver practical, high-quality solutions.

    Why join us?

This is an opportunity to play a central role in improving how a technology-led business uses systems, data and processes to deliver engineering and operational excellence. You will have the scope to influence change, lead capable teams and make a visible impact on business performance.

    Benefits

In addition to a competitive starting salary, QD Oxford offers flexible working hours and a half-day on Fridays. We also offer 25 days annual leave, private healthcare, a defined contribution Group Personal Pension Plan, and a flexible benefits package that you can tailor to your own requirements. We also invest in our talented employees by supporting them in their ongoing career and development so that they reach their full potential. We care and work hard to provide a workplace where you can grow and learn.

Please note that AI is not used during our recruitment process. Our interview process typically includes an HR screening call, MS Teams interview, followed by an onsite interview
