How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the role of Quantity Surveyor

    As Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining the commercial team of reputable Tier 1 Main Contractor who are dominating the London market. The business has built an impressive reputation, delivering some of the UK's most prominent and technically demanding projects across commercial, residential, education, healthcare and leisure. With a turnover exceeding £1bn, a strong project pipeline and continued investment in people, technology, and specialist capabilities, this is a business that is going from strength to strength.

    Their data centre division is a key area of growth, and they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support a £300m+ data centre project in London which has already started on site.

    Key Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor

    Include but not limited to:

    Managing commercial aspects of the project to completion
    Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
    Cost reporting, forecasting and financial control
    Valuations, variations, payments and final accounts
    Working closely with the project and commercial team to drive project performance
    Building strong relationships with subcontractors and key stakeholdersKey Requirements for Quantity Surveyor

    Live within commutable distance to East London
    Minimum of 5 years of experience at a Main Contractor
