How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Deburrer
    Location: Consett
    Hours: Days and Nights rotating
    06:00 – 18:00 / 18:00 – 06:00
    4 Days / 7 off / 4 Nights / 7 Off
    Pay: £13.68 per hour days + £16.93 per hour nights
    AMLR are looking for an Deburrer to join a leading aerospace manufacturer based in Consett. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performance manufacturing environment, carrying out the dressing and finishing of aircraft components to high-quality standards and close tolerances.
    Key responsibilities for Deburrer:
    * Dressing and finishing aircraft components to the required specification and quality standards.
    * Using pneumatic tooling to deburr and dress aircraft parts.
    * Using a variety of hand and bench tools for drilling and finishing operations.
    * Working with a variety of materials, predominantly aluminium.
    * Carrying out close-tolerance work with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
    * Ensuring all components meet the required quality standards before progressing to the next stage of production.
    * Maintaining and communicating an effective shift handover.
    * Following all relevant health, safety, quality and company procedures.
    * Working effectively as part of a team within a busy aerospace manufacturing environment.
    * Carrying out any other duties within the job holder’s skills and capabilities as requested by Management.
    Requirements for Deburrer:
    * Previous experience working in a similar manufacturing or engineering role, ideally 2–3 years (desirable).
    * Previous experience using a variety of hand and bench tools (essential).
    * Experience working with aluminium or other materials within a manufacturing environment (desirable).
    * Ability to work accurately to close tolerances and detailed specifications.
    * Good attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.
    * Good communication skills, including the ability to provide and receive effective shift handovers.
    * Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a shift-based manufacturing environment.
    * GCSE English and Maths or equivalent (desirable).
    * HNC / HND / NVQ or equivalent qualification in Engineering (desirable).
