How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    EXPERIENCED MULTI-SKILLED ATA PAINTER / PREPPER
    Location: Buckingham
    Salary: Up to £50,000 Depending on Experience
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
    Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:00

    THE ROLE
    As an Experienced Multi-Skilled ATA Painter / Prepper, you will be responsible for preparing and refinishing accident-damaged vehicles to a consistently high standard. Combining strong preparation skills with professional paint application and finishing techniques, you'll play an important role in ensuring vehicles are repaired efficiently and returned with a high-quality finish.

    Key Responsibilities:
    ·Prepare accident-damaged vehicles for paint, including sanding, masking, priming and panel preparation
    ·Carry out professional paint spraying, refinishing and repair work to a high standard
    ·Complete colour matching, blending, polishing and finishing to achieve factory-quality results
    ·Carry out both preparation and paint duties efficiently across a range of vehicle repairs
    ·Inspect completed work and rectify any imperfections to ensure excellent repair quality
    ·Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians, VDA/Estimators and Workshop Controllers to maintain efficient vehicle throughput
    ·Maintain paint equipment, spray areas and workstations in a clean, safe and professional condition
    ·Follow manufacturer repair methods, bodyshop quality standards and Health & Safety procedures

    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for an experienced, ATA-qualified and multi-skilled Painter / Prepper who takes pride in their workmanship and can confidently work across both preparation and paint disciplines.

    ·ATA qualification in Paint/Refinishing is essential or highly desirable
    ·Proven experience as a Paint Sprayer, Paint Technician, Painter / Prepper or Paint Refinisher within an automotive accident repair centre or bodyshop
    ·Strong knowledge of modern automotive paint systems and refinishing techniques
    ·Excellent preparation skills, including sanding, masking, priming and panel preparation
    ·Strong colour matching, blending, polishing and finishing abilities
    ·Ability to carry out both preparation and paint spraying duties to a consistently high standard
    ·Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing first-class finishes
    ·Ability to work efficiently within a busy accident repair production environment
    ·Strong understanding of repair quality and manufacturer repair methods
    ·Reliable, professional and motivated approach to work
    ·Strong team player with excellent communication skills
    ·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
