How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Behaviour Mentor - Druids Heath

    Location: Druids Heath
    Start Date: ASAP
    Duration: Ongoing
    Role: Behaviour Mentor - Primary

Aspire People are currently recruiting for a patient, resilient and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join a primary school in Druids Heath.

The school takes a **positive and supportive approach to behaviour management**, and they are looking for someone who can work across the school, supporting children who are struggling to regulate their emotions and behaviour.

The successful candidate will provide support to pupils who may need to **leave the classroom, are experiencing a meltdown or are becoming dysregulated**, helping them to calm, regulate and return to learning when ready.

You will work with children across Early Years through to Year 6, so the ability to adapt your approach to different ages and needs is essential.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    * Previous experience supporting challenging behaviour/dysregulation within a primary setting
    * A patient, calm and resilient approach
    * Experience working with children from EYFS to Year 6
    * Confidence managing situations where children may become physically or verbally aggressive
    * Strong communication and relationship-building skills
    * An understanding of positive behaviour management and de-escalation
    * The ability to remain calm and consistent during difficult situations
    * De-escalation or restraint training is desirable, but not essential
    * A nurturing approach and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about **supporting children with their emotional regulation and behaviour**, helping pupils feel safe, understood and ready to re-engage with their learning.
