**Role:** 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Reception
Aspire People are currently recruiting for a **strong and experienced Teaching Assistant** to provide **1:1 support to a Reception pupil with ASD** in a primary school.
The pupil is **boisterous and energetic**, with behaviours including climbing on furniture, and requires a confident adult who can provide clear boundaries, manage behaviour positively and keep him safe throughout the school day. The role also involves **support with toileting**.
The successful candidate will be a **strong role model** who can build a trusting, positive relationship with the pupil while encouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviour.
**The ideal candidate will have:**
* Previous experience working in **Early Years/Reception**
* Experience supporting children with **ASD/additional needs**
* Strong **behaviour management** skills
* A calm, confident and consistent approach
* The ability to set clear boundaries and provide positive reinforcement
* Experience supporting children with **personal care/toileting**
* The confidence to work 1:1 with an energetic and active pupil
* A nurturing approach with the ability to build strong relationships
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and can provide the **consistency, structure and positive role modelling** this pupil needs.
