This is a full-time opportunity, with permanent and fixed-term options available depending on the successful candidate and the needs of the school.

You will join a collaborative Science department where high expectations, strong teamwork, and positive student outcomes are central to the school's approach.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will:

Teach engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching potentially available.
Plan and deliver lessons that develop students' scientific knowledge, understanding, and practical skills.
Use practical experiments and investigative activities to make Science exciting and accessible.
Establish a positive classroom environment where students are encouraged to participate and ask questions.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
Support enrichment activities such as STEM clubs, science fairs, trips, and competitions.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and best practice.
Contribute to the wider life of the school.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

QTS/QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
A specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science.
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Science.
The ability to engage, challenge, and support students of varying abilities.
Effective classroom management skills and a calm, consistent approach.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement.
A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the wider school community.ECTs are encouraged to apply, with appropriate support, mentoring, and induction available.
