First Option Healthcare are a Complex Care provider who specialise in providing care to Children & Adults with Complex needs in their own home. You’ll deliver personalised care and support to our clients in their own homes to help maintain dignity & self-worth and promote independence.
We are looking for a caring, compassionate, bubbly & energetic registered nurse to look after a young adult woman in her own home with previous experience of providing person centred care and quality care for children/adults with learning disabilities and experience with managing seizures. Client enjoys being supported with activities.
The role will involve sensory & play therapy alongside a variety of activities such as bike rides, swimming & walks in the park with our client. Working alongside HCA's during all day shifts.
This job is for both Day shifts and Night shifts
Main Responsibilities:
Provide 2:1 & 1:1 care to patients in their own home
Build rapport with family members and other staff members
Making sure care plans are followed and client dignity & respect is practicedRequirements for the role:
A minimum of 2 years UK experience working with clients with clinical complex needs
Enteral Feeding - Via a Gastrostomy & Mickey Button
Seizure Management - Support & training given
Oxygen Therapy
Play Therapy & Sensory Play
Medication Administration
Ensure care plans are followed and changes escalated to clinical leads
Supporting clients outside the home
Able to support a client in a pool for Hydrotherapy sessions Experience
Seizure Management/Epilepsy: 1 year (required)
Oxygen Therapy: 1 year (required)
