We are working with a well-established Design & Build MEP contractor who are looking to bring an experienced Mechanical Estimator into their team.
The company delivers a range of high-quality commercial, residential and fit-out projects, and this is a great opportunity for an Estimator looking to join a growing business with a strong project pipeline.
The Role
As Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates from initial enquiry through to tender submission, working closely with the pre-construction and commercial teams.
Key responsibilities include:

Preparing detailed mechanical estimates and tenders
*
Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
*
Producing accurate take-offs and bills of quantities
*
Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
*
Pricing labour, materials, plant and subcontract packages
*
Identifying project risks, exclusions and opportunities
*
Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors
*
Supporting the pre-construction team through the tender process
*
Assisting with handover to the delivery team following successful tenders
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong background in mechanical estimating within the MEP / building services sector.
You will ideally have:

Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator
*
Experience working for an MEP / Mechanical Design & Build contractor
*
Strong knowledge of mechanical building services
*
Experience pricing commercial, residential, fit-out or similar projects
*
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
*
Strong understanding of costs, labour, materials and subcontract packages
*
Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
