How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Parts Sales Advisor

    Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield
    Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent, 9-5
    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

    Infinitive Resources is recruiting for a commercially focused Parts Sales Advisor to join an established engineering business in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

    You will manage customer parts enquiries from initial identification and quotation through to order conversion and delivery. This position requires strong customer service, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with supply-chain, logistics and franchise partners.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Identify the correct parts using technical manuals and online parts catalogues.

    * Respond to customer orders, enquiries and estimate requests.

    * Manage enquiries received by telephone, email and online channels.

    * Prepare accurate and timely parts quotations.

    * Follow up outstanding quotations and estimates.

    * Convert enquiries and estimates into confirmed sales orders.

    * Complete contract reviews for customer orders.

    * Monitor parts sales, pipeline value and conversion rates.

    * Maintain accurate customer, quotation and order information.

    * Respond professionally to customer queries.

    * Provide customers with updates on pricing, availability and delivery.

    * Work with supply-chain and logistics teams to fulfil orders within the required timescales.

    * Liaise with franchise partners to support customer requirements and develop additional business.

    * Identify opportunities to increase parts sales and gross profit.

    * Work towards individual and departmental sales targets.

    * Ensure activities comply with company quality, operational and health and safety procedures.

    The successful candidate should have:

    * Previous commercial parts, parts sales or technical sales experience.

    * Experience identifying parts from manuals or electronic parts systems.

    * Strong customer-service and communication skills.

    * A professional and confident telephone manner.

    * Good commercial awareness.

    * Experience preparing quotations and processing customer orders.

    * A methodical and analytical approach to work.

    * Strong IT skills and experience using parts or order-management systems.

    * The ability to manage several enquiries and priorities simultaneously.

    * Strong attention to detail.

    * The ability to work effectively with internal departments, customers and suppliers.

    Experience within diesel engines, power generation, automotive, commercial vehicles, plant equipment, engineering or a related technical parts environment would be advantageous.
