How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Document Production Specialist
Edinburgh | Hybrid Working | Up to £30,000 DOE

I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a leading professional services organisation for an experienced Document Production Specialist to join their team in Edinburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Word, who enjoys working with complex documentation and takes pride in producing work to an exceptionally high standard.

As a Document Production Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting colleagues across the organisation by producing, formatting and managing high-quality documentation. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, technical expertise and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential.

    Key responsibilities will include:

Producing and formatting complex documents to a consistently high standard.
Working with digital dictation and transcription platforms to produce accurate and professional documentation.
Ensuring exceptional accuracy, consistency and attention to detail across all work.
Managing multiple priorities and working to demanding deadlines.
Providing technical support and troubleshooting document-related issues.
Supporting the development, maintenance and testing of Microsoft Word templates and document automation solutions.
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and document production workflows.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation and building strong professional relationships.
Sharing technical knowledge and best practice with colleagues, including administrative and support teams.
Supporting wider departmental and organisational projects where required.
Keeping up to date with new technologies, systems and processes and confidently adopting new ways of working
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Word.
Previous experience within a document production, document management or technically focused administrative role.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
The ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively.
Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with colleagues at all levels.
A flexible and adaptable approach, with the confidence to learn and utilise new systems and technology quickly
If you’re an experienced Document Production Specialist with advanced Microsoft Word skills and are looking for your next opportunity in Edinburgh, I’d be keen to hear from you.
