How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    COMPEX Electricians – South Wales and UK Industrial Projects

    £35.00–£40.00 per hour
    Enhanced weekend overtime potentially available
    Accommodation or lodge allowance potentially available

    MEP Technical Talent is registering experienced COMPEX electricians for upcoming industrial, energy, utilities and hazardous-area projects across South Wales, the South West and other UK locations.

    We are interested in electricians based around Newport, Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol, Gloucester and the surrounding areas. Opportunities may include local assignments and projects requiring travel or working away.

    Depending on the individual project, packages may include:

    *

    Rates between £35.00 and £40.00 per hour

    *

    Enhanced Saturday and Sunday overtime rates

    *

    Additional weekday overtime

    *

    Accommodation, lodge or subsistence allowance

    *

    Travel or mileage payments on selected projects

    *

    Long hours or rotational working patterns

    Potential duties may include:

    *

    Industrial electrical installation

    *

    Hazardous-area equipment installation

    *

    SWA cable glanding and termination

    *

    Containment and cabling

    *

    Instrumentation and control wiring

    *

    Inspection, testing and remedial work

    *

    Working to drawings and permit systems

    Current COMPEX EX01–EX04

    ECS/JIB Gold Card

    *

    18th Edition

    Recognised electrical qualification

    Industrial, energy, utilities, petrochemical or process experience
