How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Traffic Manager

    Location: Farnborough
    Salary: From £40,000 + Company Van + Bonus
    Job Type: Permanent

    We are currently looking for an experienced Traffic Manager to join a growing team and take responsibility for the quoting, planning and deployment of traffic management equipment.

    This is an urgent requirement for someone with a strong understanding of traffic management, particularly temporary traffic light systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Preparing quotations for traffic management works.

    * Pricing works using existing templates and agreed pricing structures.

    * Planning and coordinating the deployment of traffic lights.

    * Managing 2-way and 3-way traffic light systems.

    * Coordinating resources, equipment and deployment requirements.

    * Liaising with clients, site teams and operatives to ensure works are properly planned.

    * Ensuring traffic management requirements are understood and delivered efficiently.

    * Reviewing project requirements and providing accurate pricing.

    * Managing multiple jobs and prioritising urgent requirements.

    * Supporting the day-to-day operational running of traffic management works.

    * Ensuring works are planned in line with relevant traffic management requirements and standards.

    About You

    The successful candidate will have:

    * Previous experience within traffic management.

    * A good understanding of temporary traffic lights and their deployment.

    * Experience with 2-way and 3-way traffic light systems.

    * Strong commercial awareness and the ability to prepare accurate quotations.

    * Good organisational and communication skills.

    * The ability to manage multiple requirements and work to tight deadlines.

    * A practical understanding of traffic management operations.

    * A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
