How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    PROJECT MANAGER

    Chase Taylor are working on behalf of a leading architectural glazing company to recruit an experienced Project Manager.

    THE ROLE

    The successful candidate will join an established Project Management team responsible for overseeing the purchasing, installation and planning of architectural glazing projects across the UK and internationally.

    The Project Management team has oversight of all aspects of the project process and is responsible for ensuring that glazing projects are delivered on time, correctly and within budget.

    REPORTING TO

    Projects Director / Projects Manager – Specific Region / Division

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    *

    Manage multiple glazing contracts simultaneously, ranging in value and complexity.

    *

    Maintain a thorough understanding of each project, including design details, products, procurement and installation requirements.

    *

    Work closely with the Purchasing Team to ensure materials are ordered and delivered on time and within budget.

    *

    Create robust installation plans, taking into consideration site conditions, construction programmes and expected delivery dates.

    *

    Ensure all project budgets are achieved or exceeded.

    *

    Assist the Design Team throughout the design process and ensure all design queries are addressed and responded to promptly.

    *

    Maintain accurate, up-to-date and continuous project records and documentation through the CRM system and associated file storage systems.

    *

    Maintain strong relationships with clients and the wider project team through regular and effective communication, including weekly project updates.

    *

    Manage all on-site logistics for projects, including the preparation and maintenance of relevant health and safety documentation.

    *

    Communicate any changes to installation programmes clearly and effectively to clients, minimising dissatisfaction and disruption.

    *

    Work closely with Installation Managers to ensure they are fully prepared for all scheduled site visits.

    *

    Maintain daily and regular communication with all on-site teams, ensuring the correct paperwork is completed and submitted daily and at the end of each project visit, including handover documentation.

    *

    Ensure all client communications, including telephone calls and emails, are responded to fully and promptly.

    *

    Work collaboratively with various departments, including Design, Installation and Procurement, to identify and resolve project issues quickly and effectively.

    *

    Manage and ensure the timely release of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals.

    *

    Ensure projects are properly closed out and all outstanding actions are completed in a timely manner.

    *

    Undertake any other ad hoc duties required to support the successful delivery of projects.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

    *

    Previous experience in a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Management or similar role within the glazing industry.

    *

    Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

    *

    Excellent organisational and communication skills.

    *

    Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

    *

    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritise workload.

    *

    Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, clients and external project stakeholders.

    *

    Must live within a commutable distance of the office.

    POSITION DETAILS

    Location: Office Based

    Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

    Training & Development: Ongoing and regular self-training is expected through online training portals and weekly knowledge-sharing sessions.

    Dress Code: A smart professional appearance is required. Sportswear is not permitted and a collared shirt is expected.
