How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key Stage 1 Teacher - Chester

    Location: Chester
    Start Date: December 2026 / January 2027
    Salary: MPS, dependent on experience

    A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chester is looking for an enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their teaching team on a temporary basis.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences and is passionate about helping young children develop their confidence, independence and love of learning.

    The Role

    As the successful Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will:

    Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 1
    Create a positive classroom environment where children feel confident to learn
    Adapt teaching to meet different abilities, needs and learning styles
    Monitor pupil progress and use assessment effectively
    Promote high expectations for behaviour, achievement and personal development
    Work closely with colleagues and support staff
    Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community
    Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the schoolThe Ideal Candidate

    The school is looking for a teacher who:

    Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
    Has experience teaching within KS1, or strong recent experience within primary education
    Has a secure understanding of the primary curriculum and child development
    Can demonstrate strong classroom practice
    Has high expectations of all pupils
    Is creative, enthusiastic and adaptable
    Works effectively as part of a collaborative team
    Has excellent communication and organisational skills
