How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Ophthalmology Product Specialist - Vitreoretinal Surgery

    Territory - South East + South West England - Field Based 60%

    This is a fantastic opportunity to become a recognised subject matter expert within a global ophthalmology business, combining theatre-based clinical education, product expertise and commercial account development!

    Ophthalmic ODPs, theatre nurses and theatre practitioners particularly encouraged to apply. As well as Clinical Specialists, Clinical Application and medical device professionals with ophthalmic experience also welcomed!

    💼 What You'll Do

    75% Clinical | 25% Sales - Field Based
    Provide product education, clinical training and hands-on theatre support
    Deliver presentations, coaching and education sessions to healthcare professionals
    Support Territory Managers with customer development and account growth
    Identify opportunities to increase product usage and adoption across existing accounts
    Support new product launches and evaluations
    Build strong relationships with key clinicians and healthcare professionals
    Develop internal capability by sharing your ophthalmic and clinical knowledge
    Balance clinical education with a genuine commercial responsibility👊 Who You Are

    Strong professional experience within ophthalmology
    Previous experience working in an ophthalmic theatre / surgical environment
    Proven experience delivering education, training, coaching or professional development
    Commercially aware with an interest in account development and sales
