How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Mechanical Supervisor – Data Centre Project, Milan Italy
    Location: Milan, Italy
Rota: 2 weeks on site / long weekend home rotation (fly out Tuesday morning, fly home Friday morning, every 2 weeks)
    Rate: £400 - £450 per day DOE
Package: Flights, accommodation and expenses covered
    The Role
We're recruiting an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a live data centre project in Milan. This is a 6–8 week assignment on a rotational shift pattern, giving you regular time back home while working on a high-spec, fast-paced environment.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Supervise and coordinate day-to-day mechanical installation works on site, ensuring works are delivered to programme and to specification
    * Manage and direct mechanical subcontractors and labour, allocating tasks and monitoring output/productivity
    * Carry out regular site walks and inspections to identify snags, quality issues, and installation defects before they become problems
    * Liaise with the Project Manager and other trade supervisors (electrical, BMS, fire, etc.) to ensure works are coordinated and clash-free
    * Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and method statements to ensure correct installation
    * Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety regulations and company/client procedures
    * Complete and maintain all relevant H&S and site paperwork — including RAMS, permits to work, toolbox talks, and daily site diaries
    * Monitor and enforce PPE compliance and safe working practices across the mechanical team
    * Manage plant, tools and materials on site, ensuring availability and minimising delays
    * Support snagging and de-snagging processes, tracking outstanding items through to close-out
    * Attend site progress meetings and report on mechanical progress, risks and issues
    * Support commissioning activities and handover documentation as required
    * Ensure quality control checks are carried out and documented in line with client requirements
    * Support and mentor mechanical operatives on site, promoting a strong safety and quality culture
    What We're Looking For
    * Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor, ideally on data centre.
    * Strong track record of seeing projects through.
    * Confident and thorough with site walks, inspections and quality checks
    * Solid working knowledge of H&S requirements and site documentation/paperwork
    * Comfortable managing subcontractors and coordinating with other trades
    * Able to read and work from mechanical drawings and specifications
    * Relevant certifications (e.g. CSCS/SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid) and right to work
    * Willing to work the 2-weeks-on rotational pattern and travel to Milan
    Package
    * £400 per day
    * Flights, accommodation and expenses covered
    EU right to work required
(Key Words: Mechanical Supervisor, Mechanical Site Manager, Mechanical Construction Manager)
