How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Solution Architect

    Duration: Initial 6-month contract

Location: London / Sheffield (2-3 days in offce Hybrid working)

    Reports to :Lead Solution Architect

Works closely with: Delivery/Programme Managers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Development teams, Enterprise Architecture.

    About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on, delivery-focused Solution Architect to join an active Investment Delivery team on a contract basis. This is a "do-er" role designed for someone who thrives on getting into the details, creating clear architecture diagrams, authoring solution designs, and actively testing or configuring systems when needed. Working alongside a Lead Solution Architect, you will "hold the pen" on technical artifacts and help bridge the gap between architectural intent and actual delivery reality. If you are curious by nature, regularly question why the business is pursuing specific approaches, and possess background knowledge in Financial Services or Investments, this role is for you.

    Key Requirements & Experience

Proven "Do-er" Mindset: Experience in a Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture, or delivery-facing role where you owned the design artifacts and worked directly with delivery teams.
FS / Investment Domain Knowledge: Experience working with financial services, asset management, private equity, or investment platforms (e.g., CRM/deal flow tooling, Portfolio Management Systems, valuations, or reporting).
Visual & Structural Design: Strong ability to create visual diagrams and clear documentation using frameworks or notations such as C4 Model, ArchiMate, UML, or TOGAF.
Technical Curiosity: Hands-on willingness to explore systems, test configurations, and investigate data/integration capabilities rather than operating purely at a high level.
Integration Expertise: Solid understanding of modern integration patterns, APIs, data architecture, and vendor platform evaluations.
Agile Collaboration: Comfortable working closely with Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to keep architecture aligned with fast-paced delivery environments.Requirements & Qualifications

Essential: Strong technical architecture and solution design background; Financial Services experience.
    Desirable: Strong Business Analysis (BA) skills; domain knowledge in Asset/Wealth Management, private markets, venture capital, or fund setup/operations.#SolutionArchitect #TechJobs #ContractJobs #Architecture #ITContractor #ArchitectJobs #FinancialServices #InvestmentManagement #FinTech #SolutionDesign #SystemArchitecture #EnterpriseArchitecture
