How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    PRG are recruiting for two experienced Site Agents to join a specialist contractor delivering projects across the rail sector.

    We are looking for:

    Site Agent – Geotechnical Drilling
    Experience within geotechnical drilling, ground investigation or associated geotechnical works.

    Site Agent – Drainage & Earthworks
    Experience delivering drainage, earthworks, civils or associated infrastructure works.

    Both positions will involve working across sites throughout Southern England, South Wales and the South West, managing the successful delivery of works on site.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Managing and supporting Site Supervisors

    * Managing day-to-day site activities and delivery

    * Completing and maintaining required site paperwork and records

    * Managing client expectations and maintaining strong working relationships

    * Planning labour, plant, materials and site resource requirements

    * Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme

    * Monitoring progress, quality and health & safety

    * Liaising with clients, project teams and other stakeholders

    * Resolving operational and site-related issues

    Experience Required

    Previous experience in a Site Agent, Site Manager or similar site delivery position is required.

    For the Geotechnical Drilling role, applicants should have relevant drilling, ground investigation or geotechnical experience.

    For the Drainage & Earthworks role, applicants should have a strong background in drainage, earthworks or associated civil engineering works.

    Previous rail-sector experience would be advantageous.

    These are permanent positions with a company vehicle provided and the opportunity to work on a range of rail-related projects across Southern UK, South Wales and the South West.
